Method of making Rava (Semolina) Upma:-

1. Roasting the semolina:-

First of all, dry roast the semolina in a pan till it becomes light golden. Keep stirring it continuously on low flame so that the semolina does not burn. After roasting, take out the semolina in a plate and keep it aside.

After the Tadka is ready, add curry leaves, finely chopped green chilies and grated ginger to it. After frying for a while, add finely chopped onion and fry the onion till it becomes light pink. Now add chopped carrots, peas and tomatoes. Fry the vegetables till they become soft.

4. Adding water:-

When the vegetables are well roasted, add 2 cups of water and add salt and mix well. Let the water boil.

When the upma is well cooked and the water evaporates, add lemon juice and coriander leaves to it.
