Kadhi Recipe: Make Delicious Pakora Kadhi (at home)

Besan Kadhi Recipe
Ingredients used to make Kadhi:-
- Half cup gram flour
- Half teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 2 cups curd (beaten)
- 4 cups water
- Salt according to taste
Ingredients used in Tadka:-
- 1 teaspoon mustard (mustard seeds)
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 pinch asafoetida
- 1 onion (finely chopped) (optional)
- 2 teaspoon oil
- 2 to 3 dried red chilies
- 4 to 5 garlic cloves
- 8 to 10 curry leaves
- Some ginger
Kadhi Recipe- How to make Kadhi:-
1. Prepare the curd and gram flour mixture:-
Take the beaten curd in a large vessel and add gram flour to it. Mix it well so that there are no lumps. Now add water to it and then mix it well. Add turmeric powder, red chili powder and salt to this mixture. Beat it well.
2. Cooking the Kadhi:-
Pour this mixture of curd and gram flour in a deep pan or kadhai and cook it on medium flame. Keep stirring it continuously so that the mixture does not stick to the bottom. When the mixture comes to a boil, reduce the flame and let it cook for 15 to 20 minutes. Keep stirring in between.
3. Prepare the Tadka:-
Heat oil in a small pan. Add mustard seeds and cumin seeds to it. When they start crackling, add asafoetida, dried red chilies and curry leaves. Then add ginger and garlic and fry it till it turns golden. If you want to add onions then add it and fry till it turns golden.
4.Add Tadka to Kadhi:-
When the Kadhi is cooked well and thickens then now add Tadka to it. Mix it well and let it cook for 1 to 2 minutes.
5.Ready to serve:-
Your Kadhi is ready. Serve it with hot rice and enjoy.
Tips:-
- You can also add tomatoes in the Tadka, which will make the taste of the Kadhi slightly sour.
- Do not forget Kadhi Pakora. Kadhi does not have any taste without Pakoras, so do add it.
- The amount of gram flour should be right so that the Kadhi becomes thick.
