Shahi Paneer Recipe- Make Delicious Shahi Panner at home

Shahi Panner Recipe

Ingredients for Shahi Paneer:-
  • 200 grams paneer
  • Half cup fresh cream or malai
  • Half teaspoon turmeric powder
  • Half teaspoon garam masala
  • Half cup milk
  • Half cup cashew nuts (make a paste)
  • 1 teaspoon ginger and garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon Kasturi Methi
  • 2 large onions (finely chopped)
  • 2 large tomatoes (grind)
  • 2 green chillies (finely chopped)
  • 2 teaspoon ghee or butter
  • Salt according to taste
  • Some green coriander (for garnishing)

Note:- You can increase or decrease the ingredients according to the number of people you want to make Shahi Paneer for. Here we are making Shahi Paneer for 2 to 3 people.

Shahi Paneer Recipe Making Method:-

1. Preparation of Paneer:-

First of all cut the paneer into small pieces. Heat ghee in a pan or wok and fry the paneer pieces in it till they become light golden. Remove the fried paneer pieces in a plate and keep aside.

2. Preparation of spices:-

Now add some more ghee in the same pan or wok and add cumin seeds. When the cumin seeds start crackling, add finely chopped onion to it and fry till it becomes golden. After this add ginger, garlic paste and finely chopped green chilies and mix well.

3. Tomato and cashew paste:-

When the onion is fried well, add tomato paste to it and let it cook well. Add turmeric powder, coriander powder and salt to it and let it cook. When the masala starts leaving oil, add cashew paste to it and mix well.

4. Adding cream and milk:-

Now add fresh cream to this mixture and mix well. After this add milk and cook till it comes to a boil. Cook this mixture till it becomes thick and creamy.

5. Adding Paneer:-

Now add fried paneer pieces to this mixture and cook on low flame for 5 to 7 minutes so that paneer gets well mixed with the spices.

6. Final Step:-

Finally, crush the Kasturi Methi with hands and add garam masala powder and mix. Shahi Paneer is ready. Garnish it with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.

How to serve:-

Serve Shahi Paneer with hot Naan, Roti, Paratha or Jeera Rice. Everyone will like its taste and it will enhance the beauty of your meal.

Tips:-

  • To make Shahi Paneer even more aromatic, you can also add saffron to it.
  • If you want, you can also add some almonds along with cashews, which will make its taste even more amazing.
